Scope: Over many years, ER&M has performed maintenance work along this 7 mile stretch of dune. Work has included cleaning out, restoring, and fencing hundreds of pedestrian and vehicular crossovers; installing many thousands of feet of wooden handrails; installing timber retaining walls; removing, repairing, and installing tens of miles of sand fence; installing tens of miles of post and rope fence; supplemental planting, seeding, and fertilizing of 72 acres of dune habitat; and performing vegetation management activities.
